What is couperose?
Couperose is a chronic dilation of blood vessels that mostly occurs on the face and is mainly noticeable through visible redness (including red veins). The areas of the cheeks and around the nose are often affected. The redness can become more severe/"flare up" due to heat (sunlight, changing temperatures indoors and outdoors, etc.), stress, spicy food, alcohol, lack of sleep and much more. Every skin reacts differently.
Adapted skin care can have a positive effect on couperose. However, skin care (alone) is not a magic cure and it is important to adapt your diet accordingly, protect sensitive skin against UV rays with sunscreen and much more.
